MACROTHERM CATHODIC PROTECTION SYSTEM CABLES
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION - Class2 Stranded Copper Conductor; HMWPE Insulated 600 V, Single Core Cable

Cables used in cathodic protection systems are a critical part of the system. HMWPE CPS cables made of stranded annealed copper conductor bare/tinned, Insulated with High-Molecular Weight Polyethylene (HMWPE) having outstanding dielectric strength & moisture resistance. During installation, these cables can withstand considerable mechanical abuse without risk of damage to the copper conductor. Polyethylene cover is also chemical resistant & provides protection against most organic & inorganic substances.

APPLICATION

HMWPE cables used as header cables on CP systems, to make anode lead, positive feed cables, negative return cables & test cables. The thick polyethylene cover permits direct burial of the cable in native soils or submersion in fresh water. The cable provides superior flexibility and can be bent without risk of notch propagation. During installation, these cables can withstand considerable mechanical abuse without compromising the conductor, but these cables are not recommended for use in environments containing chlorine, hydrochloric acid & petroleum hydrocarbons.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION - Class2 Stranded Copper Conductor, Kynar/HMWPE 600 V, Single Core Cable

Kynar/HMWPE cables made of stranded annealed copper conductor bare/tinned, PVDF (Kynar) insulated & HMWPE Outer Sheathed. The inner layer or primary insulation is Kynar, a fluoropolymer (PVDF) material, with exceptional chemical resistance in presence of chlorine, sulfuric acid & hydrochloric acid. The Outer Sheath is high molecular weight polyethylene (HMWPE), which provides an excellent abrasion resistance & moisture resistance. During installation, the cable can withstand considerable mechanical abuse, without risk of damage to the copper conductor.

APPLICATION

Kynar/HMWPE cables are used for anode ground-bed installations, where chlorine & hydrogen gasses are generated. These cables can be directly installed in fresh, brackish, or salt waters.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION - Class2 Stranded Copper Conductor, Halar/HMWPE 600 V, Single Core Cable

Halar/HMWPE cables made of stranded annealed copper conductor bare/tinned, with ECTFE (Halar) Insulation & HMWPE Outer Sheathing. The inner layer or primary insulation is Halar, a fluoropolymer (ECTFE) material with exceptional chemical resistance in the presence of chlorine, sulfuric & hydrochloric acid. The outer sheath is high molecular weight polyethylene (HMWPE), which provides an excellent abrasion resistance & moisture resistance. During installation, the cable can withstand considerable mechanical abuse without risk of damage to the copper conductor.

APPLICATION

Halar/HMWPE cables are used as direct burial dc feeder cables in deep anode ground-bed cathodic protection systems, where chorine & hydrogen gases are generated. These cables are ideally suited for uses in harsh chemical environments involving brackish or salt waters, sour gases, chlorine, acids, alkalis & petroleum-based solvents. These cables can also be used to provide cathodic protection for well casings, storage tanks, pilling, pipelines, marine craft & other buried or water submerged metallic structures.
